1. What are some of the reasons I would seek therapy/coaching?
There are several reasons why people seek therapy such as depression, anxiety, regrets, grief and loss, divorce, retirement, past issues of stemming from childhood such as exposure to violence, physical or sexual assault and any type of trauma
2. What can I expect from my therapist?
Always Tracey will meet you with unconditional acceptance, free from judgement and shame. You will have the experience of having a trust relationship with a safe adult who will move you through your discomfort into a place of healing and restoring your ability to be the best you can be and to live your life to its fullest potential. During the therapeutic process, Tracey can meet you in your home where you are most comfortable or you are welcome to attend her home office.
3. Can I get this service in my home in Canada, USA or Mexico?
Absolutely. One of Tracey’s values is providing community based work and therefore she can travel to where you are. She travels monthly to Canada to provide therapy, the USA, and resides in Puerto Vallarta where she can commute to your home.
4. Can I access this service via telephone and Skype?
Absolutely, when distance prevents us from spending time face to face, we can have our sessions over the phone or through Skyp/Video Conferencing.
5. Is there a cost if Tracey travels to our home?
If I am in your city and you cannot get to me, I will absolutely come to you. Yes, as a service purchaser, you would be responsible for travel expenses however, they are minimal.
6. Do you travel to other cities to provide therapy?
Absolutely, I will travel to where you are and have travelled to the USA to work with a family for a full weekend. However, you will be responsible for travel expenses such as flights, hotel, incidentals, and service fee’s.
Personal Fitness Training & Nutrition
1. Is the trainer experienced in training older individuals?
Yes, Tracey is Certified Personal Fitness Trainer with a specialization in training the aging individual. There is no question that as we age, we must pay attention to body parts that are vulnerable and all training is geared to increasing body strength and flexibility.
2. What makes Tracey a good trainer over any other trainer?
Tracey has been Certified by the ISSA Sports Federation which is an Internationally Accredited Sports School. Further, she continues to train and work out daily in the gym to keep her body strong and healthy but also has competed in body building competitions up to age of 51. She is currently training for her last body fitness competition to be held in Canada in March 2018 and in Puerto Vallarta at the youthful age of 57. This is a trainer that walks the walk and walks the talk. She understands what the aging body requires in terms of training and will not push the body past what is in its best interests.
3. What is the style of the trainer?
Tracey style in training is an extension of her therapeutic style. That is, to welcome, delight, motivate and inspire the individual to recognize their inner beauty and strength and to transform that to their external world. With the permission of the trainee, Tracey is a very hand on trainer to ensure that exercises and weights are being lifted with proper form to prevent injury. Her approach to training is to ease people into a training program so that training becomes something to look forward to rather than dread.
4. Do I have to have therapy and personal training?
No, you decide what you feel you are needing at the time we meet as a team. Service fees will depend on whether you are interested in personal therapy followed by a work out session or whether you prefer therapy or a personal work out session.
5. When I sign up for Tracey’s personal training, due I get a nutrition plan as well.
Absolutely, Tracey will sit down with you and prepare a nutritional plan that is suited to your body weight, age, gender, activity level and goals. There will be a nominal cost of $25.00 for the plan.
6. When I am feeling unmotivated, where can I get support?
All you must do is send Tracey an email or text and let her know how you are feeling and she will get back to you with a word of encouragement. We all need support throughout our days when we are feeling unmotivated, purposeless, or just plain crumby. Tracey’s goal is to become your safe hands in those moments.
